Last June I told you about Kilian Martin and what an amazing skater he was. Now, he is starring in the Lucozade Advert that has been airing recently. It’s a really nice feel-good summer advert, lots of bright sunshine, gorgeous people, big smiles and awesome rollerskate and skateboard action. Pretty much the perfect recipe. Kilian Martin is the main skateboard protagonist, doing what he does best. The guy is incredible.
Check out the advert
The thing is though, it doesn’t really do Kilian justice, to see what he does best check out my previous post here or his more recent video of his tour around Barcelona – A Skate Regeneration. Just so beautiful and incredible skills. Enjoy.
Posing for the Movember campaign with Ark° T Shirts and taches
Following on from my request for people to model the new T shirts from those clever boys over at Ark°, I was able to get the call answered via 4 friends on Twitter. I managed to secure a location and the deal was done. 60 minutes of fun, poses, taches and Acts of Random Kindness! Thanks to Andi, Lee, Sharon and Laura. You guys rock! Check out the samples from the shoot here
If you want to look as cool as them (taches optional), check out the Ark° online store and pick up a great looking new T shirt.
I was sent this and felt it was a great idea. It is open tonight and tomorrow night and may just be the answer to your Halloween Costume dilemma. It’s eco-friendly too and looks like it would be a lot of fun. If you don’t fancy the queues outside Elliotts, why not give it a try.
Halloween Costume Workshop in upstairs of Vintage Shop, 78-80 Royal Avenue, Belfast.
Wed 27th October & Thursday 28th October for 2 hours each evening, 6pm – 8pm.
Entry will be completely free of charge to the public.
Call Claire on 90 237 268 to book a place or call in now!
Workshop co-ordinator: Lucy Smyth from Stitch
Lucy will bring dummies, machinery, all necessary haberdashery and books for both drawing inspiration from and drawing sketches in. Lucy will have a few simple samples made, and will advise each customer on what they can do with their purchases from the store to create some fabulously SCARY outfits!!
Lucy will help customers on their way and give helpful tips on re-styling what they may also have in the back of their wardrobes, or on re-using last year’s or maybe a friend’s garment. The key is to make the most of what customers have, and not going out and buying a new throw-away costume. This event is funded by DOE Rethink Waste Project – “Waste isn’t Scary”.
I am doing a photoshoot for Ark° tomorrow afternoon and need a couple of extra people, preferably in your early/mid twenties to model 2 new T-Shirts, one of them is to help promote the Everyman Movember campaign.
I need a couple of guys and a couple of girls. Location will be in Belfast area and you do not need to have previous experience. It will take about 1 hour and you need to be available tomorrow (27th October) afternoon. I am giving my time for free as part of the Ark° philosophy and therefore there would be no payment for models, just the warm fuzzy feeling from doing some good, and of course seeing yourself on an international label’s website.
If you are interested or know someone who would be, get in touch here
I love watches. I could spend a lot of time and money perusing, buying and wearing them. They are my kryptonite. I have a nice collection, nothing too pricey but all very nice and bought in a moment of weakness.
I have managed to avoid making any purchases for nearly 6 years (Melbourne Airport – G-shock GW-1001). It’s been hard. But here is my confession, in an uncontrollable moment 2 evenings ago, I stumbled upon this watch. I have been looking for a white watch for some time now. Yes, it’s a bit flashy, yes it’s a bit impractical. No, I don’t care.
The G-Shock X-Large Combi is larger than an average G-Shock. I love big watches. Always have. So there was the second box ticked.
Finally, the price, almost bargainous at less than £100 delivered.
But then there was a problem.
Only available in the USA, nooooooo!
After hunting around I finally tracked down a store that would ship to the UK. And so, in about a week, my new (not so) little beauty will be here and on my wrist.
It’s a new romance. Heres hoping for a white wedding.
